Introducing Nic
My name is Nicola Bodle, but you can call me Nic.
I’m a qualified and trauma informed somatic sexologist and spicy photographer based on the NSW Mid North Coast.
I’m passionate about supporting others to gain confidence in themselves and their sexuality whilst developing deeper connections with their body.
My role is to empower you to navigate your sexual exploration by providing quality sex education on topics you actually want to know about!
I’m a queer cis woman who is kink and poly friendly. As a neurodivergent practitioner, I know what it’s like navigating sex and intimacy while living with ADHD and anxiety.

How I got here
After devouring countless books, articles and podcasts on human sexuality, and regurgitating information to anyone who would listen, I realised that I had spent years trying to challenge stigma and open up conversations around sexual health and wellness. Hungry for knowledge, I embarked on a journey of learning and self-discovery to gain skills to guide these conversations on a greater scale in a professional setting.
Working as a photographer for more than a decade led me to realise one of my greatest passions lies in intimate photography – or spicy shoots, as I call them! During these sessions I ask a lot of questions and prompt couples to open up discussions about their relationship and intimacy with each other.
I soon realised that I love fostering intimacy and connection between people, and creating spaces where couples can feel safe and encouraged to discuss aspects of their relationship that they typically wouldn’t. Not only does this process result in beautiful photographs, but the feedback from many couples has been that they felt closer and more connected than they had in a long time.
I built on my background in psychology with qualifications in somatic sex coaching and sexological science and practice. I wanted to draw on both cutting edge scientific research and centuries old techniques in tantra and mindfulness to provide a more holistic approach to my practice. I don’t exist firmly at either end, and don’t believe you should either!
Diversity and inclusion have always been a vital part of my work as a photographer and those values follow into my work as a sexologist. I strive to provide educational resources that are inclusive of all genders and sexuality, as well as accessible to those with disabilities and respecting diverse cultures and religions.
This is a safe space for you. I want you to feel seen, represented and heard.

About you
Sex and sexuality are fundamental parts of being a human. So why do we all feel like we’re making it up as we go? And why isn’t anyone talking about it?
If you’re anything like me, your sex education was less than ideal. You probably learned most that you know from friends, sealed sections and porn. While these are all helpful sources of information, they’re not sufficient, and you’ve probably been left feeling a little underwhelmed and dissatisfied with the sex you’re having (or not having!)
You’re here because you recognise
the need for a shift.
Whether you’re thrilled with your sex life, or feeling less than lacklustre, you’ve identified that there is something in your current sexual experience you’d like to change. Good on you for being proactive about it!
The next step is to get in touch for a free introductory phone call - or if you’re ready to dive in - book your first session now! I can’t wait to start exploring with you.
FAQ
You’ve probably got a few questions
-
Somatic sexology is a holistic educational approach to sexual health and pleasure, integrating somatic and embodied practices to explore emotions and sensations within the body. Somatic sex coaching utilises these tools (such as breathing, mindfulness, shifting awareness) to reflect on what you’re currently experiencing sexually, and where you want to get to.
TLDR: instead of just talking about what’s in your head, we listen to what your body is saying too.
-
Believe it or not, I too was a bit sceptical at first, but the more I studied, practiced and researched about somatics, the more I grew to understand how profound and life-changing this work can be. Really, if you think about it, being more in touch with your body and how it feels is only going to improve your relationship with and understanding of sexuality and pleasure.
-
Historically, sex therapy has focussed on the diagnosis of a dysfunction or disorder, with the goal of returning an individual to a ‘normal’ level of functioning. In recent years, sexual health and wellness has expanded beyond simply managing dysfunctions, risk or reproduction, and towards a movement of sex positivity and sexual pleasure!
-
Absolutely everyone. No matter your background, experience, age or sexuality, I am here to support you, not judge you. I want you to feel seen, heard and safe.
-
I offer spicy shoots to individuals, couples and groups.
